Nintendo World Championships contest sponsored by Too Many Games!
Dust off those VHS copies of The Wizard, this November Retro Con and Too Many Games are bringing back the Nintendo World Championships! We have access to a reproduction of the same carts used at the national event in 1990. For those that aren’t familiar with the contest, it was a live event held in dozens of major cities across the country. Players had 6 minutes and 21 seconds to amass the highest score they could manage. The first feat was to collect 50 coins in the original Super Mario Bros, then the game would jump to a specially designed course of Rad Racer which the player needed to speed through as fast as they could, and finally the last segment was Tetris where the player finished out their remaining time.
The contest will run from the opening of the show at 9am until 2:30pm when the game will be stopped and the winners determined. An announcement will be made soon after. There are no age restrictions, anyone can walk up to the game and play! If you break any of the top 3 spots, leave your score up and flag down a vendor at the Too Many Games tables right next to it and have them verify and mark down your score (and name).
Grand Prize is Two VIP tickets to the Too Many Games show, a $200 value!! TMG is a show all about classic video gaming and will be held from June 14-16 2013 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks! Check out their site HERE. Tickets and vendor tables are available for sale now! You can also check out the perks of being a VIP/Final Boss ticket holder HERE.
We will also have prizes for 2nd and 3rd place in the form of show dollars! Amounts to be determined later. Players must be present during announcement to win. This contest is neither sponsored by or affiliated with Nintendo of America. Good luck!!

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was
super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for inexperienced blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
