Fall Guy Truck Replica at Retro Con 2024!

August 5, 2024 Leave a comment

We have a brand new vehicle to add to the show floor this year… a replica Fall Guy truck!

Made from a 1980’s GMC Sierra Grande pickup, this ringer for the seemingly indestructible truck driven Colt Seavers on the show has been seriously modified to include all the bells and whistles! Lifted body, mag wheels, oversized tires, bullbar, auxiliary lights, CB whip antenna, hoop steps, rollbar, and utility winch. It of course also has a screen-accurate paint scheme, complete with the ‘Fall Guy Stuntman Association’ logo right on the hood!

The truck will be a show attraction only, and will not be used for photo ops with Lee Majors. Nor will it be used for stunt jumps at the show!

A huge thanks to Alex Page for bringing his beautiful truck to the show! The Fall Guy truck joins other replica TV/Movie vehicles on the floor such as the DeLorean time machine (owned by Philly Time Machine Rentals), A-Team van (owned by Ryan Steckel), and the Jersey General Lee (owned by Tom Felice, appearing Saturday Only)!

Lee Majors Comp 7c

Retro Con is going bionic this year!! Please welcome the legendary LEE MAJORS to Retro Con 2024, September 7th & 8th in Oaks, Pennsylvania!

Lee Majors’ career has spanned an amazing 60 years, quickly becoming a household name when he was cast as the rugged Heath Barkley on the hit wild west series ‘The Big Valley’ in 1965. The show ran for 4 seasons and 112 episodes and is one of the best remembered westerns of the era.

“We can rebuild him… We have the technology…”

Majors shot to even bigger star status in 1973 when was cast in the lead role of Colonel Steve Austin on ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’! Critically wounded during a NASA test flight, Steve Austin was rebuilt with bionic implants to give him superhuman strength, speed, and vision. *cue theme song with slow motion shots and bionic sound effects* The series was a massive sci-fi hit of the era, and forever remembered for such awesome episodes as Steve going up against doppelganger robots, the menacing Death Probe tank, and of course his epic showdowns with the goliath Bigfoot! And we would be remiss to not mention its popular spin-off show ‘The Bionic Woman’ starring Lindsay Wagner!

The show also inspired The Six Million Dollar Man action figure by Kenner, one of the most iconic toys of all time! With signature red tracksuit, roll-back “skin” on his right arm, bionic lifting action, and of course his wide-angle bionic eye you could look through, this was THE toy to have in the mid-1970s!! Lee even got to voice his own figure for a nostalgia-fueled ‘Happy Honda Days’ campaign in 2018!

Lee headlined another huge hit in the 80’s on the popular action series ‘The Fall Guy’! Lee played Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman that moonlighted as a bounty hunter with the help of a few friends, and of course his souped-up GMC pickup truck! The show’s opening theme, the “Unknown Stuntman”, was even sung by Majors himself! The series is about to get a big budget movie adaptation releasing in May starring Ryan Gosling. Rumor has it Lee may even be making an appearance in it…

And in an inspired piece of casting, Lee was brought on to play Brock Williams, father of Ash Williams, on the cable series ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’! An immediate hit with Evil Dead fans, Majors played a character extremely different to any he played before. The show ended too soon after only three seasons, and is sorely missed, though rumors persist of an animated revival.

“At 7 o’clock! Psychos seize Santa’s workshop, and only Lee Majors can stop them!” And who could forget Lee Major’s role as Santa Claus’ protector in the classic 1988 Christmas film ‘The Night the Reindeer Died’? (If You Know, You Know!)

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet pop culture icon Lee Majors at Retro Con 2024, September 7th & 8th in Oaks, PA! Lee will be signing autographs at his table all weekend (prices to be posted soon), but his photo ops will be *PRO PHOTOS ONLY*. We’ll get those details squared away soon and will post up purchase links as soon as we can.
