Meet Angela Cartwright at Retro Con 2026!

We’re delighted to welcome the wonderful Angela Cartwright to Retro Con 2026 in Oaks, PA! A beloved face from some of the most iconic family entertainment ever created, Angela’s career spans timeless film, classic television, and a creative journey that fans continue to celebrate today.

Many first discovered Angela as Brigitta von Trapp in ‘The Sound of Music’, where she played the most spirited and outspoken members of the von Trapp family. Surrounded by an unforgettable ensemble cast, the film remains one of the most cherished musicals of all time, filled with legendary songs and heartwarming storytelling that continues to resonate across generations.

But of course sci-fi fans know Angela best for her role as Penny Robinson on Lost in Space! The smart and imaginative middle child of the Robinson family, Penny had a penchant for alien life forms, especially her “Bloop” companion Debbie. With classic archetypal characters and that distinctive 60’s aesthetic, Lost in Space holds a staunch fanbase to this day.

Beyond acting, Angela has built an impressive career as an artist. Her work often reflects her life in Hollywood, blending photography, mixed media, and personal storytelling. Fans of Lost in Space will especially appreciate her beautifully crafted photo memoir book “Lost (and Found) in Space 2”, which she created alongside her show co-star Bill Mumy. This book offers a heartfelt, behind-the-scenes look at the series through rare photos and personal memories, and is the ultimate keepsake for those who love the original 1960’s TV show.

Angela will be reunited with some very familiar faces at Retro Con! She’ll be joining her Sound of Music co-star Nicholas Hammond at the show, as well as her Lost in Space co-star Bill Mumy, making this an incredible opportunity for fans to celebrate two legendary productions all in one place!
