Larry Kenney at Retro Con 2015!
We welcome fan-favorite Larry Kenney back for Retro Con 2015!
A veteran in the world of radio and voice acting for over 40 years, Larry is of course best known to us as voice of the heroic leader of the ThunderCats, Lion-O! The popular show by Rankin/Bass Productions ran for 130 episodes across four seasons (from 1985 to 1989) and still has a staunch fan base to this day!
Larry also voiced the popular mutant Jackalman on the show, then was later cast as the voice of Lion-O’s father Claudus in the 2011 remake of the series!
In the follow-up series to ThunderCats, Rankin/Bass’s SilverHawks, Larry was brought on board to give voice to Colonel Bluegrass, Buzzsaw, and Poker-Face!
You may also have heard Larry as the voice of Cocoa Puffs Sonny, Count Chocula, and as the voice of martial arts black-belt Karate Kat (part of ‘The Comic Strip’ tv show)!
In more recent years he has been the announcer on vh-1′s ‘Best Week Ever’ program, and has reprised his role of Lion-o for humorous ThunderCats skits on the animated series Family Guy. He’s also the voice on the current and popular Skittles commercials!
“Settle the rainbow! Taste the rainbow!”
Larry will be on hand on **SATURDAY ONLY**, and will sign fans’ merchandise free of charge (2 item limit). A big thanks to him for coming back to the show for 2015!!
No, no, no. Larry is best known for his role as Lion-O in the RetroDaze Halloween and Christmas Specials. Nobody knows about this ThunderCats nonsense of which you speak. LOL. 😉
