Please read concert details in full:

You DO NOT need to pre-register for (or attend) Retro Con itself to buy tickets for the concert. But likewise, purchasing a concert ticket does not grant you access into Retro Con.

Tickets will NOT be mailed to you. Please bring along a print-out of your Paypal receipt/invoice. The staff at Arnold’s will use it to check you in. If you cannot print out your paypal receipt, your picture ID will be fine as long as it matches the name we have on file for the ticket(s). We will send you a confirmation via email that we received your payment.

Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. However, in the unlikely event the concert is cancelled, full refunds will be given.

Please note you should enter through The Water Tower entrance at Arnold’s Family Fun Center, which is just to the right of the main entrance at Arnold’s (look for the blue awning). Arnold’s itself is located directly next door to The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.

The concert start time is 8pm, though you can arrive any time after 7pm for check-in and mingling.

The concert will run about one hour. Time permitting, the Cybertronic Spree will be available for a meet/greet immediately after the concert. Attendees can purchase band-related merchandise at this time. But to ensure you get to meet the band and buy merchandise, please come to Retro Con on Saturday! The band will be at the show from 10am to 1pm.

Please note that this is a General Admission/Standing Room Only concert. This means that there will be no chairs in the main audience section, and there will be no assigned positions. The staff at Arnold’s will of course do their best to accommodate attendees with disabilities.

There is a separate room to the right of the stage where attendees can pay to play rounds of bowling while watching the concert on the venue’s large overhead screens. There is also a full bar in the venue, where attendees 21 and older can purchase drinks.

There are no age restrictions at this event, though all ages require a concert ticket. We do not recommend bringing very young children to this event, as it is a rock concert played at full volume. Please also keep in mind the concert will be held in a bar setting.

We want to keep this event fun and safe for everyone! Anyone found to be disorderly will be asked to leave without refund.

Look for Mr. LoBo at Retro Con 2016!

August 23, 2016 Leave a comment

We’re happy to report that our old friend Mr. LoBo will be back again for Retro Con 2016!

 photo Lobo2016c.jpg

MR. LOBO is the mysterious host of the late night movie program CINEMA INSOMNIA–a cult sensation for 15 years and counting and stars as THE AMAZING CRISWELL in the new film PLAN 9(2015), a remake of Ed Wood’s PLAN NINE FROM OUTER SPACE(1959) on Amazon Prime now and Blu Ray this Fall.

His show is nationally syndicated on AMGTV affiliates, seen on ROKU and other streaming devices and channels, and NOW on his own free internet based channel OSI 74 – OSI74.com. He lords over late night slumber party fun with his patented blend of humor and satire.

He proves that “They’re not Bad Movies–Just Misunderstood.” Mr. Lobo has been a special guest and emcee for BLOBFEST in PA since 2010. Mr. Lobo has also hosted many live events and film festivals, and provides background on the films, with comedy, games, and prizes. He has been in dozens of film documentaries, has had many cameos in genre films, is a returning guest on national radio talk shows including COAST TO COAST AM with GEORGE NOORY, provided commentary for MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER box sets, has been featured on TMZ, and parodied on SCOOBY-DOO!

Last year he put out a hot selling Halloween album called HORRIBLE NOISES OF MR. LOBO’S VERY BAD MANOR and a CINEMA INSOMNIA: HAUNTED HOUSE SPECIAL DVD. He has a new but very retro audio CD and Booklet called HYPNOSIS FOR HIPSTERS. You can watch episodes right now on his website CinemaInsomnia.com and on his new channel OSI 74 — OSI74.com!

Mr. LoBo will be at the show all weekend, and will be hosting a panel on Saturday afternoon at 4pm!

Meet Cam Clarke at Retro Con 2016!

May 13, 2016 Leave a comment

This year we’re adding some serious Turtle Power to Retro Con with the inclusion of voice actor Cam Clarke to the show!

 photo CamHeadshotBorder.jpg

Cam Clarke is a prolific American voice actor and singer, well known for his work in animation and video games. He often voices teenagers and other similarly young characters. Cam began his acting career performing with his family on the musical variety show, The King Family.

He continued to perform with his family on various TV specials until the 1980s when he got his first voice acting roles in the animated shows Snorks and Robotech. Clarke was taught by established voice actor Michael Bell. To date, Clarke has voiced over one hundred titles. Cam is easily recognizable by his distinct voice which can fluctuate from adolescent sounding, to deep and soothing, to a faux British.

Cam’s most famous role is probably that of katana-toting leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leonardo!

Being the most disciplined and cultured of the team, his turtle brothers would sometimes tease him for being too serious at times, but they also respected him as their leader (usually). Cam voiced the steadfast character in close to 200 episodes of the original TMNT series between 1987 and 1996!

Cam also voiced the dimwitted mutant Rocksteady on the show, who along with his best friend Bebop were Shredder’s chief underlings. They remained in the show for all 10 seasons.

Cam also played two prominent roles on Harmony Gold’s Robotech series: Ace pilot Max Sterling in the original “Macross” chapter of the show, and resistance soldier Lancer/singer Yellow Dancer in “The New Generation”.

Another lead role Cam played was that of He-Man and Prince Adam in the 2002 relaunch of the Masters of the Universe series! Though the show and toy line were relatively short-lived, this iteration of MOTU still has a loyal fanbase to this day.

A popular villain role Cam played was Liquid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, genetic-twin and nemesis of Solid Snake. Cam played the character in Metal Gear Solid, MGS 2, and MSG: The Twin Snakes.

And a popular protagonist role of Cam’s was that of gang-leader Shotaro Kaneda in the english dub of the anime classic Akira!

Also, RPG fans may recognize Cam as the voice of such characters as Kratos Aurion in Tales of Symphonia, Ryudo in Grandia II, Will Raynard in Tales of Legendia, as well as the male Blood Elf in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade!

Cam will be on hand all weekend for autograph and photo ops. Prices will be listed on the website as we get closer to the event.

Go Green Machine!!
