In addition to dedicated arcade cabinets, they’ll also be bringing in their “multicades” featuring thousands of titles to choose from. No matter what your favorite era of video games is, they’ll have you covered!

No need for quarters or tokens… all cabinets at Retro Con will be set to FREE PLAY!

Based in Warrington PA, The Game is Afoot Arcade is an epic gaming place for all ages, with dozens of arcade games and pinball machines on-site. No quarters needed! You simply pay for the time you are there.

Arcade Corner at Retro Con 2021!

Retro Con’s arcade corner will be back for 2021!


The Game Is Afoot Arcade will be bringing in a sizable collection of arcade cabs for attendees to enjoy. Some are dedicated cabinets, and others are “multicades” featuring thousands of titles to choose from. Best of all… every machine will be set to Free Play!!

The Game Is Afoot Arcade will once again be bringing their arcade machines to add to the show floor! Some will be vintage machines, and some will be ‘Multicades’ with 1000’s of games to choose from. Something for everyone to enjoy!

So when you’re all shopped out at the show, drop off those bags at the car and then stop by our arcade section to get your retro gaming on!!

Meet David Kaye at Retro Con 2019!

“Yeeeesss!”

We welcome David Kaye to our guest list for Retro Con 2019!

 

 

An award-winning actor with nearly 30 years of experience in movies and television, David is best known for voicing devious Predacon leader ‘Megatron’ on the fan-acclaimed Transformers series Beast Wars! He played the tyrannical T-Rex (and later dragon) through three seasons of the popular show, as well as its follow-up series Beast Machines, and would go on to voice a different Megatron through the mid-2000s Unicron Trilogy.

He had the chance to play the hero as well! He voiced Autobot leader Optimus Prime in the late 2000’s Transformers Animated series. The show was extremely popular with fans at the time of release and is still held in high regard today. He also voiced Grimlock, Lugnut and Cliffjumper on the show.

David is also the voice of brainy robot Clank in the long-going Ratchet & Clank video game series! And for anime fans, he is the english dub actor of Sesshomaru from the early 2000’s anime InuYasha, as well as family patriarch Soun Tendo on the classic anime Ranma 1/2!

Other notable roles of David’s include General Hawk on DiC’s GI Joe, Professor X on X-Men Evolution, Draconis on Exosquad, Recoome on Dragon Ball Z, the Narrator on Kingdom Hearts III, and is the current announcer on ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’! He can be seen in live-action media as well, such as Battlestar Galactica (2004), Happy Gilmore, Sliders and X-Files!

Meet James Rolfe AKA the Angry Video Game Nerd at Retro Con 2019!

He’s been with us since our very first show in 2012, and we’re pleased to report that James Rolfe will be returning for Retro Con 2019!

James is best known for his hilarious reviews of classic video games as the character the Angry Video Game Nerd, which mix together insightful commentary, over-the-top language, physical comedy, and special effect elements. The show has been in production for 14 years and still going strong!

Other programs on the Cinemassacre channel include Rental Reviews, James & Mike Mondays, Board James, You Know What’s Bulls#!t?, and literally hundreds of movie reviews of films spanning from the early 1900’s to present day!

James is best known for his hilarious reviews of classic video games as the character ‘The Angry Video Game Nerd’, which mix together insightful commentary, over-the-top language, physical comedy, and various theatrical elements. The show has been in production for 13 years and still going strong!

Other programs on James’ website include James & Mike MondaysBoard JamesYou Know What’s Bulls#!t?, and literally hundreds of movie reviews of films spanning from the early 1900’s to present day! He also released a feature-length movie based around his AVGN character in 2014. Check out his team’s work over at Cinemassacre.com!

We have secured a brand new Super Nintendo Classic Edition for the Retro Con 2017 raffle!

Pre-loaded with 21 classic titles (including Super Mario World, Zelda III, F-Zero and many more), this currently hard to find game system will be raffled off on Sunday afternoon at the show. One lucky winner will take it!!

 

We’ll also be raffling off one of  last year’s NES Classic Editions at the show!

Retro Gaming at Retro Con 2017!

Video games are a large part of retro culture, so Retro Con will once again be including a classic gaming section on the show floor in 2017! The Game Is Afoot Arcade will be back with a wide assortment of arcade cabinets for attendees to play!

  Aside from bringing classic arcade cabinets for attendees to play, they will also be bringing their popular multicade machines which include THOUSANDS of titles for players to choose from! All machines will be set to FREE PLAY!!

 

And if home gaming is more your thing, both The Game Guyz and Extra Life will also be at the show all weekend with a diverse selection of home consoles for attendees to play!

The Game Guyz will be vendors at the show, selling a wide range of video game, board game, and tabletop game products. They will also have costumer Victoria Avalor at their tables all weekend, paying tribute to beloved Star Wars character Princess Leia! 

 

 Extra Life unites thousands of players around the world in a 24 hour gaming marathon to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $30 million for local CMN hospitals!

So when you’re all shopped out at the show, drop off those bags at the car and then stop by our arcade corner for some retro gaming action!!
