SKELETOR UP IN THIS RETRO CON!!

Get those havoc staffs ready! It’s time for the return of one the most popular guests Retro Con has ever had, someone who voiced two of the most iconic characters of the 1980’s. How can the same person voice one of those most evil characters of all time, as well as one of the most noble? It’s easy when that person is Alan Oppenheimer!

Alan has been in the entertainment business for 60 years, with on-screen parts in such hit movies and series as The Untouchables, I Spy, Get Smart, Hogan’s Heroes, Bewitched, Bonanza, The Six Million Dollar Man, Westworld, Happy Days, Knight Rider, Murphy Brown, Night Court, Married With Children, and Star Trek Voyager.

But if you grew up in the 80’s, you’ll definitely know Alan as the voice of one of the decade’s most unapologetically evil characters (and a modern-day master of internet memes)… Skeletor! Alan played the wicked arch-foe of He-Man in over 70 episodes of the ‘He-man and the Masters of the Universe’ cartoon series, plus the follow-up series ‘She-Ra: Princess of Power’, the ‘Secret of the Sword’ movie, and the infamous ‘He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special’ where Skeletor reveals his kind side (but never use that word around him!).

And in a role completely opposite of Skeletor, Alan also voiced another favorite character from the 80’s: The flying luck dragon Falkor! A wise and benevolent being from the land of Fantasia, Falkor would give words of inspiration and could always be relied on in a time of need. “Never give up and good luck will find you.”

An actor of wide range, Alan has voiced characters of all shapes, sizes, and timbres. More of his characters you might remember include Norman Burg on ‘The Big O’; the G’Mork, Rockbiter, and the Narrator in ‘The Neverending Story’; Cringer, Man-At-Arms, Merman, Buzz-Off, and Roboto on ‘He-Man & the Masters of the Universe’; Warpath, Beachcomber, and Seaspray on ‘G1 Transformers’; Overlord on ‘Blackstar’; Handlebar and Outlaw Scuzz on ‘BraveStarr’; Vanity on ‘The Smurfs’, Prime Evil on ‘Filmation’s Ghostbusters’; Colonel Trautman on ‘Rambo: The Force of Freedom’, Paladin Brandis in ‘FallOut 4’, Old Timer in ‘Toy Story 4’, and the list goes on and on and on!

Don’t miss this rare chance to meet Alan Oppenheimer at Retro Con 2022, September 24th & 25th In Oaks, Pennsylvania!

The figure is sealed in package and was released last year by Matty Collector. It was made to resemble He-Man’s appearance on the classic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series by Filmation, in which John Erwin provided the voice for the titular character.

We’re elated to have this in our raffle line-up, and we wish all of our attendees luck in winning it! Read more about our show raffle here:

A big thanks to John and Alan for making this possible!!
